What is the Ticket to Work program?
Ticket to Work is a free, voluntary program from the Social Security Administration for people ages 18 through 64 who receive SSDI or SSI because of a disability. Employment Networks like SpringUp provide career counseling, job search help and ongoing support so you can go to work, increase your earnings and move toward financial independence.
Who is eligible?
People ages 18 through 64 who receive Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) based on disability or blindness are eligible for the Ticket to Work program.
Do you serve my state?
Yes. Springup Solutions, LLC is a national Employment Network service provider. We serve Ticket to Work participants in all 50 states, from our office in Columbia, South Carolina.
Do your services cost anything?
No. Our services are free for people receiving SSDI or SSI benefits, so you can work toward financial independence without added expense.
Will going back to work affect my benefits?
It can. Earnings may reduce or stop your cash payments, but Social Security work incentives can soften that, and Medicare or Medicaid coverage often continues while you work. Our certified benefits counselors explain how work may affect your SSDI or SSI and help you use work incentives such as the Trial Work Period and Extended Period of Eligibility (SSDI) or the earned income exclusion and Section 1619(b) Medicaid (SSI).
Am I protected from medical reviews while I look for work?
Yes, from medical reviews. While your Ticket is assigned to an Employment Network and you are making timely progress toward your work goals, Social Security will not start a medical Continuing Disability Review (CDR). Reviews of your work and earnings can still happen.
Do you still help after I'm hired?
Yes. We provide ongoing employment support after you are hired, including help with workplace accommodations, to support your long-term success.
Can I refer someone I know?
Yes. Use our referral form to refer someone who receives SSI or SSDI and may want to use their Ticket. Our team will contact them, with their permission, to explain the Ticket to Work program and next steps.
